Cotents from Dialog Axiata Sri Lanka

Pushparaja Simion , 26, lives at 90 Acre, Thalagahawatta, Nakyadeniya, Galle. He could study only up to 8th standard due to a grave sickness he suffered. The fate was so cruel to him he suffered an incurable disease in his vertebra which made him immobile and had to forego attending school. But he is a man with superior courage and did not succumb to the cruel blow of the fate. He did not want to waste time at home doing nothing but resorted to self study and learned the computer operating system through a distant learning program through the postal system. Since his parents could not afford his learning program he decided to offer tuitions to the children in the vicinity to collect sufficient fund to finance his computer learning program. Then with the help of Mr. Bandara, who is the Dialog representative in Galle area, Simion managed to get a Dialog Reload SIM by paying an amount of RS.10,000. So he sells reload as well as reload cards to the customers in his area. Now Simion is fortified with a dual income sources, his tuition income and reload income.

As the time passes, Simion was interested in gaining advanced knowledge in computer operation. So he joined the Vijaya Graphics and followed a 2 year graphic, 3D and 3D animation programme. His father, equally a noble man, rendered a noble service by carrying him to the computer institute at Galle. With the knowledge he gained, Simion started computer classes at home with a single computer he bought with the money he saved and with the support of his parents. In addition he earned extra income by rendering his service to customers designing banners, doing typesetting and graphics.

Later he joined the Dialog 5 star partner program launched by Dialog. The knowledge he gathered from these programs made him a successful businessman. He followed a strategic business plan and worked according to the schedules and improved his business operation and the income as well. He has planned to shift his business operation to a new building which he has started building with his savings and with the generous contribution made by Dialog. In addition he encourages and motivates those who are following the poverty alleviation programs organized for the poor in the village by revealing his success story and how he defied the cruel blow of the fate. He has made a tremendous success as a businessman
